Staying away from the Forums for a while

I have never picked up a virus from ebid,
I did pick up "Empty Wallet Sydrom" from eby.

Any chance you all went and looked at some dodgy listing? If somebody posted, as they occasionally do, to say "this listing looks weird" and a few people visited it, there might be common ground and it could register as being "from" here, maybe?

I must be going mad. There was a post on here the other day regarding AVG alerting the user that a virus was present.

With that the forums closed and a security update message appeared in the forums place.

I posted on the thread but now I cannot find it

Yep - I got a whack of trojans and Jeez only knows what else yesterday too. Think DA BOYZ need to lookit!

EDIT: just read your post Kim. I got a load of warnings AFTER I'd gone to Notifications to try to open a PM.

I've just clicked onto the forums and as I did, something tried to download onto my computer which my security picked up and isolated.... not had this anywhere like that...

And just an addition to my above post, I've now had a security warning from Zone Alarm telling me this site is trying to download files to my computer (total of 6 so far in ten minutes). if this continues, i will be pulling out of here - I have no intention of having my computer corrupted.

After I'd posted, I saw there was an update to the forums connected to a security issue, so presumably this is connected? If people were having problems *after* the update, and while seeing the new version, support should be told I think.
