Sports Card Section Needs Fixed

I have some imput also.... but this will be a dream.... going nowhere. I base this on the previous REALLY needed additions-changes they fall/fell on deafears.
So..... I have no hope.. as what I asked for in Hockey got a Big duh.

There is something seriously wrong here..... there is no rah-rah to make sellers have real hope.
Do what you want... but again, with no Bid Column on eBid it is not an auction site in the real word of auction.

FirstRoundSports has gone to the effort of producing a list of catagories for sports cards. I like the postive step that he has taken. Could I please ask that his efforts are acknowledged and some feedback be given on these catagory suggestions, like will it be done and if so when will it be done. I know you are very busy guys but I too would appreciate an update on this issue. I also have these collectables to sell and will not list until the sports card section is sorted out.

What I've got together is just what's on ebid at the moment.
I plan on then making changes and will do so in red that way
it will be easier to see the difference from what's currently here and what I would suggest.

There def is a need to have this section updated and cleaned up.
It's as if someone did this 10 years ago and never updated it.

To have a program section and no place to put world series programs is just one thing I saw right off.
Also there are some items that are listed in multiple places, also miss spelling, and also dates not correct or
updated. Also there is some areas that can be combined.

It will take me some time to put my suggestions together but instead of doing just one area, like the FBN pointed out in Hockey
I feel that the entire Sports Card and Memorbillia section needs to be re done. In sports cards not just graded and ungraded but also event used and autographed needs to be added. Or just graded ungraded, memorbillia, autographed. Something more for listing the cards correctly, also the graded option for packs as many vintage packs are sealed never opened and then submitted for grading.

Overall there's work needed for this entire section as the hobby and collecting has greatly changed over the past 10 years.

I would even consider putting NASCAR by itself, instead of in a Motor Sports section, regardless that section needs to be re done and would consider a Dicast section here for Nascar instead of in Toys and Hobbies, the one there doesn't list by size or have the option for brands or autographed, serial number, dealer only etc.....
I'd suggest updating that one or moving it here but that might be more than I would be able to consider at the moment.

I just would like to put this together first get some feedback and go from there. Hopefully once complete we can put this into action.

Yep.... NASCAR on its own.
Lots of Luck trying to get sports cards etc. updated. I am really annoyed here as no one in management has taken the inititive to do it themselves(in many other cats. also).
I had/have blasted many so-called public online auction site 1998-2003 for doing nada to Cats. etc... they all went bye-bye.
This is still a sad industry(ex. feebay).
Without Correct Categories and their sub-cats and functional search engine... any site will die.
Pure hog-wash here from many.. many who ask for this and that cat., cause they have a few to sell, they do not sell, leave here... thus Lies another dead unneeded sub.Category. Smarts is needed here... late in the game now for dillydallying.

Next will be the Memorbilia and Clothing Secton.
Maybe a name change here also like Fan Shop and Memorbillia

What I would need help with is if you download the files and take a look at them as I do them and make suggestions on them.
Like if you think something needs added or removed......like the one above.

Maybe suggest in Motor Racing breaking it down to Indy, Dirt etc....which I don't think is needed since I made NASCAR it's own section. But serious open wheel collectors might see things different. That's where I would need some help and input.

Again I'm doing this in hopes to get this section to make some sense and also update it since I don't think its ever been done.
I was shocked to see some areas completely ignored.

I have thousands of autographed items and memorbillia and also tons of sports cards many of which are either autographed or event used.
No where are these distinctions taken into account.

When getting to the cards you have

base
inserts
rookies

a pack pulled autographed or event used card is insert
should they be listed there or a create a seperate sub catergory with the graded ungraded section

that is my biggest question I have at the moment


they would be

year
insert
autographed
event used
graded
non graded


or

year
graded
non graded
autographed
event used

I feel the first option is the proper way since they are inserts
and non auto graphed versions sometimes exist of the same card.

Feedback here would be needed once I get to the Sportscard Section.

I do not Download... sounds crazy but true.
If I were you I would not progess.. till Management speaks up. Why?? waste time. I really have zero faith here now.
