    Elcom to ebid

    Cheavers advice is all good.
It takes a while to get it all set up though.

And my advice if you are a serious long term seller is to bite the bullet pay the life time fee.
There are ways of getting it cheaper.
Then you can list with gallery
And list your good stuff at good prices, and you should make some sales.
And we all need to hang in for the long run as ebid is much smaller than ebay, but is growing steadily. The more listings, the more variety and hopefully more buyers.

Are there any of you who could offer some advice? should i take the same approach as with ebay?
I understand things may be slow at first but doing some research i have come acorss a lot of people who say ebid is a waste of time...i really hope not!

Any success stories out there? Any tips?
    Hi & welcome.
I had a quick look at some of your listings, and notice that you have no photo's in some of them.
Plus putting some measurements in the womens clothes listings might also help.

    Good luck

    Hello Everyone!

I am also a newbie to Ebid and have come across the same feedback! But I'm hoping that although the pick up is slow, it will get going so hand in there!

With regards to the auction listing, is it really better to avoid run till sold auctions and go for 7-10 days listings?

Any light shed on this would be much appreciated and thank you in advance!
PS: please do take a look at my ebid store, I have only uploaded the 'Evening Bags' but other categories will follow soon.

Run Until Sold (RUS) has its uses, as long as you are aware of its disadvantages there is no problem if you wish to list that way.

The biggest issue with it is that when a potential buyer carries out a search for an item, those listed as RUS will always be at the end of the search results (after everything else apart from On First Bid item) and will never rise from there.

Listing on a countdown basis, your item will rise to the top of search results as it approaches it close date. If you list on a 7-10 day period with 10 auto reposts then your listing will still run for about 3 month without your intervention and climb to the top each 7-10 day period.

Conversely, listing as above will attract fees on each repost if you have any features and/or extras that are chargeable on listing (e.g. Featured listing, extra photos, etc.) rather than on sale.

So really, it is matter of understanding the merits and drawbacks of each system and choosing the one that best fits your particular needs. One size does not fit all.
