Shame. I think if people used it for discussion, rather than just posting their adverts, it might maintain higher numbers, maybe?

True of any group, I agree. I just think it might be worth trying to encourage more discussion, or greater variety of content. I know that's not an easy thing to do, and it's not like you're bored but perhaps if a few people reading this thread thought "yeah, good idea" and made the occasional post there that wasn't just an ad, it might help everybody. Give people a reason to spend time there (so they see the ads!) Just sayin'.

Precisely the problem I'm trying to address. For some reason just being rude about it didn't strike me as an option. Doh!

My original thought was that when any of us post, the link appears on the home page of our friends. If a friend clicks on the link, they may spot something else on the page that is of interest.

Discussion doesn't seem a bad idea but I'm not keen on negative comments about eBid as it is a very public place.

I'm sure bacon's comments were constructive, but I can't see how!
