Ebid promotional group on facebook

There are several unofficial groups but I think we are the largest devoted to ebid as opposed to against the other place.

Please join.. please post there.. just once a month would make it really lively.

Well, no-one else is posting on this thread but the membership of the group on facebook is growing steadily - 500 would be nice (478 as I type).

And I keep getting sales .. could it be the facebook effect?

The trouble with Facebook is this: SIGN UP is in yer face.

As much as I am all for anything to promote ebid.net, I don't want to sign up to anything that I can't get a taster of first.

I've clicked on the link to the group and it wants me to log in, which means I need to sign up, but Facebook's home page tells me bog all about itself and is about as welcoming as a f*** off sign on a chapel door.

Mind you I've even criticised ebid in a similar manner here

facebook isn't perfect - I suggest that if you join you keep as much as possible private, including your birthday, though that does mean you don't get birthday wishes from all and sundry - but it does seem to be mostly harmless which is as much you can hope for.

I kinda agree with booksforsale but in a different point of view. I don't like facebook because it's not user friendly, it's somewhat hard to figure. But looks like I have to use facebook for self promotion. One example of user "unfriendliness" is that I have a page and I tried to post of this ebid group and there's no way to do that and there's no explanation. Thanks for like and I didn't rain on your parade. Did I criticize your group? I just complained about facebook not being user friendly.
