I'm in and already voted. Whether or not I use the option will be my choice. Thank you very much for asking.

For the life of me I cannot understand why anyone would oppose this. It will have no effect on anything anybody does if they decide not to use it but will benefit those who do decide to use it.

I don't see anything positive in training buyers to try and talk you down on your price

    Start with a realistic price
    My clutter

I don't play the reserve game

    Start with a realistic price

    Then don't use the option!

You might want to close your May 11th thread so not to take away from this one.

    I voted Yes.

I knew there would be a few detractors.

But we are asking for the Option.

And Jeweleffects - very good wording on the poll options, the 3 options you gave also allow for every members views I think.

I avoid paying full price for anything if I can possibly avoid it.

I even haggle in high street stores

Yes, yes and yes. Not sure I'd use it much, but IMHO it would be another useful tool in the toolbox.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

I voted yes, even though I wouldn't use it, since I believe it would be popular with other would-be eBidders. We get enough threads asking for it, or asking how to do it, to suggest this is true.

I voted Yes on this occasion as I don't want to sit on the fence and I have no strong objection to others using Best Offer on here if they wish (on the understanding it would be an optional feature).

I very much doubt I would use it myself. I trialled Best Offer on my ebay business listings for a couple of months. I received a fair share of 'speculative' (i.e. joke) offers and I found even the 'reasonable' offers to be time-consuming due to price negotiation. I also wondered if some buyers felt they got a raw deal if they just paid the Buy Now price without haggling. I don't use the option anymore and my sales are as good, if not better, than they were before. Still, I appreciate Best Offer must work for some and it's a feature that has been requested/debated ad nauseam...
