Do a search of the forum top right for Best Offer - it has been requested constantly from 2006, there have even been previous polls to no avail. eBid listens to the membership - huh!

What part of the original Post don't you understand?

After following the eBid needs Best Offer thread, and at Gazza's request, I thought it a good idea to start a poll.

eBid does in fact listen to what it's members are saying, unfortunately the fact the administrators don't comment on every single post you put up may appear to you as being ignored but I believe it to be more along the lines of just not worth commenting on and so far I would have to agree with them.
If you have issues you want addressed you can put them in an easy to read intelligent comment and send to support. They will reply and quickly I might add.
I'm not sure what or who you are angry at but man settle down a bit changes will not take place overnight on any site. Pro's and Cons must be weighed, investigated then acted upon. Shooting from the hip causes more problems then leaving things alone.

Now see if you can follow me on this one again.

I have yet to read or hear any logical explanation as to why a Best Offer "Option" will be detrimental to sales, sellers, buyers or the eBid site.

Mmmmm....... Very naive - I have written twice about this, see below. Also people in the forum have requested it since 2006. What is it about "listening to the membership" that you and eBid don't understand?

    Hi Mark

This is not one of our near term projects.

This maybe revisited at a later date but as of now, no.

    Hi Mark,

We are aware that some customers would like the Best Offer facility.
We do not have plans to introduce this in the near future however.

Yes I have also noticed this comment from ebid and I have copied it to my ebid notes document on my computer.

There are many other features that ebid members have asked for

    That would be...you.

Request, request and request some more. As it stands there are only 81 folks in the forum who have voted. Previous requests as any requests to support if not already and idea on the table will net the same response "not in the near future plans".
Yes it has become more of a hot topic over the recent months and I will attribute that to the recent influx of ebayers jumping ship.
If you look at the Website suggestions portion of the forums you will see how many suggestions are presented. Some good some not so good but original posters naturally think the idea they are suggesting should be put into place and some even have a ton of supporters. Does this mean admin should drop whatever it is they are doing and put the idea into place?

Admin may even have a priority list of things which need to be changed or updated which have been requested for months. The fact Gazza has asked for this particular poll shows there is an intent to incorporate the Best Offer Option onto eBid.
My take on the support team here on eBid is they wish to remain as they are for as long as they can and just add more help as needed. This keeps our fees low and keeps the support team easy to manage.
For the time being just relax and try to keep a positive attitude in regards to this option being implemented. We do need to try and find more then 81 people to vote on this somehow.

eBid puts on many changes and additions every month, that come through the users and forums. But "listening" doesn't have to mean agreeing to every change without fail.

I doubt they will. They don't want members thinking that they will bow to the will of the mob. Regardless if the mob is making sense.

I am surprised by how few people have voted on this but i get the impression that alot of people are not aware of it, plus there a huge number of people who don't even look at the forums so the best place for it is the monthly newsletter that way it will get to alot more people and we will see a true representation of what the members do infact want. I my self am for it and thin in today's climate it could only be a good thing, I am sure that Ebid will add it to auctions if they feel it will benefit the site and its members and generally they are very good at listening. It would be helpful if peeps could keep bumping this topic so it stays on the front page forum links so more people will see it :P
