Thread: Twitter question

  1. #1

    Default Twitter question

First of all I'm not sure if this is the right thread to ask this question in?

But when you first upload your items to twitter you'll get a bunch of hits then after an hour or so none?

    How does Twitter work?

Sadly, the 'instant' views you get on an auction immediately after a tweet are most likely web crawlers (bots clicking the link, usually from search engines such as Google). However, after a few minutes, all subsequent views on your listings from your tweets are probably human.

Twitter is another social networking site (like Facebook etc). I have Twitter for the theatre group though I must say on a personal level, I dont like it muhc. However its a darn good one for publicity work. I always announce the theatre groups new auctions on our Twitter account, and it does seem to bring in a lot more views - and raise awareness of ebid as well.
