The after auction log allows a number of functions including send a question.
I like to send an e mail to the buyer telling them that I have posted their item and thanking them for the purchase.
Send a question is not really the right statement and when used it brings up an entry in the Q and A box which has to be cancelled.
Could there be a category for a message called e mail confirmation of posting or simply contact the buyer which is available after a sale?

I add this info when advisng of item being shipped - you can type quite a few lines in the AAL box.

I thought that when you added a comment to the "Mark As Shipped" option no information was passed on to the buyer.

The only way they would know that you had shipped it would be if they kept looking at the item on their "Won" Tab.

When I have bought things from e bid sellers I do not remember getting an automatic notification that an item was sent although I have had personal messages to this effect.
Perhaps someone can confirm one way or the other..
Even if this was the case I would like to be able to review the message to add the personal note that may encourage the buyer back to my site for another sale.
