As long as you have your holiday notice displayed you'll be OK. Anyway - if you are putting your stores "offline", nobody can bid/buy!

Nobody can bid or buy, but they CAN post questions. People asked questions on three of our listings the last time I was on vacation.

If eBid does remove a listing when someone is on vacation, I hope they have the courtesy to send the seller a notice so it can be taken care of when they get back. We have almost 7,000 listings running. How in the world will we know some of them were removed unless we're notified? And which ones?

This is one "improvement" that needs to be handled carefully.

I've put a store on holiday (there's not much in it anyway) and tested the Q&A thing. Will wait to see what happens about nudges and come back to you. Unless somebody has an answer already, of course!

I've reported most of the results. Nothing's happened since then. I'm going to see what a manual nudge does when I have a minute!

Manual nudge brought it up to 5 and it's now been sitting for a while like that, with no sign of being ended. Not sure what's going on really, so I'll bump this to support. Will keep you posted.

Edit to add: just re-seen the bit about the timing in the original status update, so I'm going to give it a wee bit longer in case I'm being impatient and the fifth nudge is too recent.

I have always assumed when my shop is on holiday setting that people can only view item and not buy or send messages, hopefully this is how it works.
