On eBay when you list an item with a "BUY IT NOW" price you can choose to let potential buyers make an offer that you can either accept, counter offer, or decline. I believe it would be an asset on this site AND increase sales for Sellers!

...As I always say AND usually do... "Once a day...whether you need it or not!"

I agree, I was always more interested as a buyer when I saw a "Best Offer" tag next to an auction I was interested in on eBay.
I think it would entice buyers to auctions, which in turn is great for sellers.
You can always use your 'notice' facility to invite offers. If you want to see what I am talking about look at one of my listings. It has even been used a couple of times
This is not something I would use.
I dont really like the idea of a customer sending an offer, then having to leave the site and wander off elsewhere while waiting on a response.
I would rather close the sale while the customer is viewing the item in the first place.
I have had occasions (not many, I will admit), where a customer has made me an offer which I have refused, so they purchase at the listed price, then left bad fb because I refused their offer.
I could go for the best offer. I sell a lot using that from my store not from an auction though.
ME ...If I would accept a lesser price I would have lowered it in the beginning.
My listings will be as is or more
