I did say anyone. I was thinking about the design really not the spelling. Just showed it to my son. He went "hmmmmmmmmmmm". Useless! I don't know, normally everyone is only too willing to criticise.

If anyone could tell me how the slideshow at the bottom of the page behaves when you click on it, it would be a great help. It's supposed to take you to my photogallery. I suspect it asks you to sign into Google to view the Picassa album. Less than ideal.

It takes you to Picasa, & displays the full size image, it has forward & backward buttons to scroll through the images,
it doesn't work as a slideshow on there.

The blog looks interesting & informative.
A few pictures in the body part of it may lift it a bit, to make it more interesting for the casual browser.

Not too sure about the bright green header a bit too in your face for me

Things seem to be working already. Since starting yesterday I've had 137 hits. Most of these are from the links here on the forums, some were from Bykimbo's Squidoo link. Most interesting of all the first refferal came in from Google U.K. this evening.

I've decided I quite like the idea of doing these, so long as I can pack sufficient information in to them to make them attractive as references. I don't think think I'd want to be doing 'creative' writing all the time.

Might do one on fossil collecting. I think that has considerable scope.

As you know Kedo on my wish list for the last 4 years or so has been an "In House" blog type feature available to Lifetime Seller+ members, to use, as a sort of Shop Window for stores or even store categories.

Maybe one day,
but until then the blog linking to a photo album & to your store(s) seems a pretty good solution.

I'm pretty sure my webhosting offers both a photo gallery & blog options, I must look into it more.

Oh & while you've got the bug, a blog with info on how to take good clear images (like yours always are) to use in your listings would be handy too.

I don't know if anyone is actually interested but the next stage of my 'test' blog seems to be working. A Google search for "Alps Shoji Ltd. Trademark" (the first bit of information on my first info page) now brings up my blog in second place. That's after nine days. Now if people are searching for the info I'm offering they should end up on the blog.
