but these threads are unmanageable as they are and you know yourself sending mumbo jumbo to support won't get very far.
You have a breath-taking ability to assume, falsely, that you know what I'm thinking, or that you understand my view on anything. I don't think threads need to be managed, and I have no idea what the impact of sending "mumbo jumbo" to support would be, since I've never tried it, or even come to think of it what you mean by "mumbo jumbo" in this context, since it appears to me to have no relevance.

Most of the threads have valid points as well as far out theories. To take 60 posts and extract pertinent information in regards to the original post I believe to be quite valuable.
And you think that somebody could and should decide which is which? When opinions will vary so wildly that some will have totally opposite views as to which is valid and which simply far out?

I always notice you take a lot of time to help make eBid work and grow, not just for yourself but others as well and I'm sure there are more willing participants in the forums who would be happy to help.
And so you assume you can volunteer me for this role I haven't even agreed with a need for? Your "more willing participants" clearly implies you think I will be a willing participant. I can assure you nothing is farther from the truth. I would not dream of trying to speak for all ebid users, and would resent anybody else doing so on my behalf. I think it's a truly appalling idea. (I'm speaking VERY plainly, as you seem to have managed to read what you wanted into my previous negative comments).

I'm just thinking an organized rabble would be more efficient then support answering questions over and over again because someone just joined and has not experienced previous postings or admin answers.
You have eliminated the "eBid needs to advertise" posts for a while
WHAT!? I have no control over the contents of the forums, and if my expressed view is that such posts are tedious and pointless... how on earth does that translate into "you have eliminated"? Good grief. Can you get megalomania-by-proxy, does anybody know?

but with all the new folks coming over I'm sure it will be back. A thread such as that would not need a Forum Master to present anything to support, they have already answered and members will post to the thread and inform the newbie as such.
I probably used the wrong term "Forum Master" sounds like it carries some weight, instead it should have been thread spokesperson.
You can call it banana if you like. It's still a lousy idea, and I want no part of it. *strides purposefully for the door* Moony, get the hill ready, I'm on my way...

For the record, I want no one speaking to support on my behalf. As I believe I am quite capable of speaking for myself. I have a sneaking suspicion that most of us can.

Excellent points. The statements I made were not intended to insult or point fingers at anybody. These forums are full of important and useful information. Extracting the information and presenting it to support in a unified fashion I believe to be a promising means of getting things accomplished.
Is everybody in the forums capable of expressing themselves to support? I would certainly hope so due to the fact we are all capable of listing items for sale.
To give you an example of what support would see if everyone sent their inquiries...
    I want red.
    I think blue is better.
A grayish with a hint of puce would work for me.
    Green definately green.
    Has anybody suggested yellow yet.
I hope you get the point. A spokesperson would filter out the thread and post "the majority has decided we are in need of the change and the decision has been "green".
The suggestion being sent to support will appear as....then everyone is now on the same page. Wait for an answer from support then the spokesperson posts it for all to see.

Yes some of the threads are in fact Mumbo Jumbo especially when the post begins with a valid point then after a few posts just takes off into a different direction and that direction usually turns into some harsh words. Yes not cool, not cool at all. If some weren't paying attention to several threads where admin has contacted members asking for a support ticket after explaining they cannot get involved with the forums due to the logorythms of information and feel they cannot get into debates in the forums then you may not see the point of having ideas in the threads edited together to make valid points to support.
Most forum posters believe if they post in the forums admin will auctomatically see it and react to it. This is not the case support needs to be contacted directly when a thread has several opinions on any matter.
Open the minds, it's not trying to belittle anybody it's trying to get something accomplished through organization.

No not trying to soften you up and if I disagree I say I disagree.

I do not assume. I read what is posted. Instead of Mumbo Jumbo et's use 60 posts with different opinions all in regards to the same subject.

And you think that somebody could and should decide which is which? When opinions will vary so wildly that some will have totally opposite views as to which is valid and which simply far out?

The majority will decide. Someone looks at the posts finds which are the more popular repost to get the opinion on which to present to support.

Where did I assume to volunteer? I believe you may be assuming that as I have never mentioned it. You are entitled to your opinions and if you don't believe a more unified manner to bring member's opinions to support is a bad idea well that's okay. However I firmly believe it is a way to help get things done.

WHAT!? I have no control over the contents of the forums, and if my expressed view is that such posts are tedious and pointless... how on earth does that translate into "you have eliminated"? Good grief. Can you get megalomania-by-proxy, does anybody know?

You read a little to far into my statement when I said you stopped the forum posts. You made a post to a thread answered everybodies concerns and the thread died on it's own. Maybe your not used to compliments but it was meant as one.

You can call it banana if you like. It's still a lousy idea, and I want no part of it. *strides purposefully for the door* Moony, get the hill ready, I'm on my way...

Why would I call it a Banana? I don't understand, I don't like bananas but I like this idea. Don't forget to shut that door on your way out.

This is not the only comment I have made to this post please read between the original lines my statements are there, just didn't quote them correctly.

    Probably right. Hello Wisconsin!

Sorry for the suggestion but one more before I go.

Send your inquiries to support. They do respond.

Having some serious discussion should not be considered being beat up. When the other party starts typing in all red caps that is being beat up

STREWTH!!! When I got up this morning I felt sure this thread would have come to a timely end.

It's beginning to remind me of the Ariston advert!!!
