Last login time under ID/USERNAME

I think this would help new buyer avoid inactive sellers who post listings and never came back. Also if a sellers is inactive for 90 days close there listings.

Spit balling:
Green circle for within 24 hours.
Red circle for with 7 days.
Grey circle for within 30 days.
Black circle with a skull and cross bones it longer then 30 days.(After 90 day close listings)

Make this big so the buyers can see. Right on top of the listing or by the picture would be a good thing. I've made this a poll.

Im all for the last login info under the username thats a great idea.
I believe also that a seller should log in once a week ( unless on holiday mode ) and if they have not logged in for a maximum of 30 days for their listing to be closed.
I am having problems with a seller now and they last logged in on the 13th ( i bought on the 18th ) and i have heard nothing from them.

We don't need gimmicks, we just need ebid to control absent sellers properly, and publicise dates for all, not just those with shops. Good ways of doing this have been discussed a zillion times, and ebid MUST be aware of our ideas by now - if the don't do anything, it's because they currently CHOOSE not to. Flogging a dead horse with a new stick won't help.

I agree with Kim. The guys MUST know what we're on about - these forums are monitored - we all KNOW that. So - would it do any good trying to get a petition of some sort going? If so, how could we go about it?

So tired of discussing this subject - PLEASE eBid something needs to be done about it. Our customers need to have total confidence in the site to be able to press that bid button freely and not worry if a seller has gone AWOL !

As Kim says, the boys must know about our concerns.

They obviously don't think its a major problem.

Perhaps they have a bigger picture than us.

But if hundreds of people voted in this poll, they might have another look at it.

good evening folks , we all know it is up to eBid as to will they or wont they ? , we know it has been on the go umteen times...I have just looked at the views and the votes....thirty odd views and 11 votes , seems like the members are showing a little apathy as well as the powers that be....but we can hope ?....have a nice night....papa.

Oh goodness, this canard comes up every now and again and somebody berates people for not voting. Two things: 1. every single time somebody looks at thread the count goes up. So each time I come in to see what the latest comments are, tick, up it goes again. And 2. Not voting in a thread doesn't not have to mean apathy, that's just insulting. I haven't voted on this poll not because I'm apathetic, but because the poll is a pointless exercise in ego-polishing (bowdlerised big time from what I was going to say!)
