I was just checking the help pages for something when I noticed that nearly every help page has unanswered questions at the bottom from members.

Whats the use of asking members to post question there if no one from support can be bothered to answer them.

I suggest these don't look good for ebid and should be removed

I believe it is actual members that are invited to respond to the questions.

Wouldn't it be better to ask members to post questions to the forums? I don't check the Help pages for unanswered questions, I didn't even know they were there til today.

I noticed it a few weeks ago, I think it's something new. But I agree with you. I think questions and responses are quicker and better if made on the forums.

The thing is it says type a question and get users to answer it for you.

I tend to agree with you though, the whole thing should be removed.

Support should be busy answering members specific questions.

We already answer hundreds of questions via the forums, where at least we get notified. I've tried answering a few there, and the whole process seems odd and rather pointless.

It's been ages since I went into the Help pages . . . and I don't think there was ever any notification that this was going to happen.

Practice a bit of empathy . . . pretend you're just checking the site out to see if you want to join . . . what's your reaction to these? "Nobody here cares about helping me. Look at all the questions no one will answer. Goodbye."

Now there appear to be hundreds of unanswered questions there and I doubt if any of us have time to plow through them. Very bad idea. These should be removed.

I said it was a waste of time when it first appeared. Half the questions have no purpose being there; they are either more suited to forums than FAQ or are already answered in the proper FAQ above that the asker couldn't be bothered to read.

Hopefully admin will have a rethink and get rid of them.
