YDC 87 Announcement

Charity Auctions

24th – 28th April 2011

YDC charity auctions are held by the international eBid membership every month.
Our main aim is to raise as much money as we can, and have lots of fun along the way!
At the same time, we have a “friendly” competition to see which single auction raises the highest amount. The winning seller in this competition chooses which good cause to nominate for the following month’s competition.

As the winner of YDC86, HerMajesty has chosen:

SAVE THE CHILDREN

as this month’s nominated charity.

If you would like to take part in the “competition” element of YDC87,
Please adhere to the following guidelines:

1) All auctions should have a start price of 99p (UK) or less.
For other currencies, please find an easy conversion chart here: http://www.xe.com/

2) No item listed should have an expected value of more than £20.00 (or local equivalent)
Please note: If you wish to to list your favourite Ming Vase or your treasured Ferrari for charity- please do so, but you won't be eligible to win the "competition" - as they are probably worth more than £20!

3) Your auction should not have a reserve price or Buy Now, and it should be a standard auction (ie: not “featured”, or have any extra enhancements)

4) Your auction should run for exactly 4 days.

5) Please list your item/s to start at any time on the 24th of April (in your country), and finish at the same time on the 28th. (Different time zones will be taken into account when establishing the “winner”).

6) Please put YDC 87 in the auction title.

7) Your auction/s must be hosted on eBid.net, and must NOT break eBid’s listing rules.

8) Your auction/s MUST be for a charity (or good cause) and you will need to add the following to your description:

This auction is an entry in the YDC87 charity auction competition. All money raised by this auction, will go to: Add the name of the charity/good cause here

9) You should not mislead bidders/ buyers. Please be truthful.

10) Please keep all shipping / postage charges at cost price.

11) PLEASE LIST YOUR AUCTIONS IN THE CHARITY AUCTION SECTION UNDER “YDC”

You may list AS MANY items as you wish.

You do not have to support the nominated charity, it can be any good cause of your choosing.

Please try to offer your auction/s to as many international destinations as you can.

I just found this on page 3 (I think) doesn't time fly!!! I'll have to work very very hard to finish all the things I had planned.

I managed to get the Save the Children template listed in advance (hint, hint) but I might only manage an RNLI item for the event itself, I fear. But I'll do my best, honest injun.

Thanks in advance to everyone for participating in the YDC and other charity auctions. Save The Children works in so many countries and puts such a big percentage of the funds raised directly back to the program needs, not fundraising or salaries. Also, they can be paid directly with paypal or credit cards. This makes it easier for people to donate.
