I plan on parking this aged rear-end in front of the TV all day long for SURE! I'm planning out the food for the day so I don't have to take my eyes off the TV set once! Very excited...very excited!!

I won`t be watching, but I hope people have cool street parties, they are a memory filler... I remember when I was a lad (cue hovis music) when there were street parties and I dressed as spiderman, then we all walked the streets, showing off our hand made costumes, a nice memory
    Kind Regards

I have always loved weddings. The first truly beautiful wedding I watched was Lady Diana's, and I was very fond of her. So for those reasons I will be watching her son's wedding.

But for some strange reason this good looking couple makes rather ugly collectibles, like the coin, and I have no interest in buying them. Would still buy some Lady Diana items, though, when I have some change to jingle.

Street parties & block parties are really a blast. I wonder if USA will be doing any W&K block parties?

Hope it goes well for them and the media give them some privacy.
No major thing to me though. Certainly wont be watching, but then im not someone who sits around watching TV anyway. That said, its each to their own. Some people get really excited about this kind of thing and thats fair enough.

Friend of mine got stopped in the street a few days ago by a guy with a clipboard who asked him how he would be celebrating and did he want to donate to some local gift for the newly wed scheme. He said he wasn't celebrating and wanted nothing to do with it. The guy got a bit narky and said "listen mate you should show a little grace as they are the reason you'll be getting the day off work". Mate explained that he (as with many others) wont be getting a day off work and as someone who is scrimping to save enough money for a weekend in Torquay this Summer, he had very little time for a wedding which was costing millions to the cash strapped taxpayer.
Just realised i needed to mod my old signature. No set categories yet, but i'll work on that now i am back and update as able

Darthmatt, thank you for expounding on why you will not be watching & why little interest. Now I can see why there are more from the UK who voted "From the UK & Not Interested At All". As someone from the USA, I did not know that the wedding was paid by taxes of the people. The people are taxed out of their minds in the USA also. Their are going to be huge revenues generated from this event. Aside from private businesses who else would directly partake in the generated revenue.

I hear tax money is paying for security (which I think is what happens when you have a big pop concert, Olympics, etc?), but the Royal family and the Middletons are paying for the wedding and reception.
