Sorry, don't have the Cricut ~ I have a Craft Robo (which I need to sit down and study to get the most potential in order to create my own designs other than text and already supplied ones) and also the Spellbinders Wizard which will be upgraded to the Spellbinders Grand Calibur once my Stock comes in!!

i would love a cricut or craft robo but given the outlay i too dont think it would be used enough. Bought a fancy cutting board set that cost over £60 used it once and went back to my old ways

Hi Blossom tree, some of our designs are cut on craft robos, have a look in our shop, it will give you an idea what you can do with a bit of imagination.....some of the designs are our own, we have soooo many ideas for new designs but so little time to carry them through. also, for anyone interested, the ebid bookmarks in the YDC charity auction were designed and cut on the craft robbo. if you need any help blossom, just contact us.

Hi Penni, i think you may have made a wise decision about the robo, what is not made clear is the running costs, new mats, glue and blades do not come cheap, they are great, but for just cutting occasionally it is an expensive way of doing it and can be time consuming (some intricate designs take up to 30 minutes to cut)

As well as all the pre-programmed shapes, can the Robo cut custom shapes? I'm looking for something which will reliably cut out 9 playing cards from an A4 sheet - the only other cutter I've seen which is designed to do the job is horrendously expensive AND needs importing.

Hi, there are limits as to what it will cut, probably 250 gsm in thickness. i cannot see why it would not cut what you are after, as long as there are no intricate designs added, i think it could easily handle the numbers and shapes. you would probably need a scanner to send your desgn through to your library of designs. once this is done it is fairly simple to set out size and layout on an A4 sheet

Thanks HH. I have a bit of a humdinger here - Not sure if you can help. I've got Windows 7 and I installed the drivers but to no avail. Perhaps I should have uninstalled them ...because they weren't designed for this new platform. Now that I've managed to acquire (I use the term loosely as I'm not sure what I'm doing to be quite honest!) the drivers, I've managed to design using RoboMaster (v5.1) for the CraftRobo Lite but when it comes to the actual cutting, the Craft Robo is not recognised, prompting for drivers etc. Now the website and 'instructions' for such downloads are a confusion to me since there are so many exe's and no joy when I've tried. I don't suppose you could point me to the link and state the folder/file I need to execute please, if you have a clue? Otherwise I'm left using my old laptop with Vista (or SD card which doesn't give me the control of cutting depth etc since I can't even access this setting on my Win7!) Thanks in advance!
