If drawing in the best sellers and buyers (and the "best seller" is only the one who has what I want at a price I'm prepared to pay!) were easy then there would be a dozen sites challenging the market leader.

I am ebid's keenest critic but they have got one thing seriously right - organic growth. The site is gently growing every day. If you list something new, often it will sell quite quickly. If you are searching for something you will sometimes find it here and often at a better price than elsewhere.

OP, I accept that you are frustrated that the highest quality items of the sort you want are not here but it is not the site management's fault. They are providing an online shopping site not the stock!

Same here. I am new to ebid, and love the site. Getting three/four sales a day elsewhere, but not a tickle here. I am here for the long haul though (lifetime), just wish someone would buy something soon. I know our products are rather niche (stainless steel fastenings):

By "new" I meant "newly listed". I share your frustration about sales here. My main reason for joining ebid and listing here was because I distrust monopoly. My distrust was justified and I can no longer make money on most of my items on the market leader's site. In the end though, there is, in the UK at least, no viable alternative alternative site for most of my items so it is here or give up entirely.

Well put, all sellers should try and continue to support ebid, otherwise there will only be a monoply, and we all know what monopolies do to us.
