Moved here from FeeBay; Book searching question--No ISBNs?

Hi, I'm new here from FeeBay (YAY!!) and have looked high and low for this answer:
Is there a reason why the Search function does not work when you enter an ISBN? Perhaps I've done something wrong in uploading my listings, but when I enter one of my item's ISBN in the search box, the results are always ZERO.

Can anyone help?

I really don't search for anything using the ISBN, I search by the title or author. When I search you listing by title I found it.

Currently the ISBN field is only used on the feed to Google Products.

It is hoped that it and other item attributes will be included within eBid listings and search results. I only posted on this topic earlier today: http://www.ebid.net/forums/showthrea...=1#post1316585

Currently, if you want the ISBN to be searchable you will need to include it in your title - or, as second best, in your description.

Thanks Mel, That's kind of what I was thinking. I'm just so used to popping in the ISBN in the "other" place...

yes, usually things are listed by title. There are no pre-filled item defaults that I know of (I tried using them on the other site but found them often inaccurate, so stopped again). Also with some much older books, there are no ISBNs anyway (something to bear in mind if searching for an out - of-print book). ISBNs are useful if looking for a specific edition.
