Gazza! that isn't what either of us wanted done to our listings! They never appeared in items I listed:unsold. This is the problem!

If you think I'm being rough it is because I don't feel that you believe there is a problem.

Slightly calmer reply... Gazza, while it is useful to know that the item has been archived, what I want to know is how come? And how do I stop it happening again to items which I wish to relist?

I agree strongly with Madelaine. The fact that the missing auctions have been archived doesn't help a bit if we aren't notified that they closed.

All I have are the totals on my inventory spreadsheets and the totals in our stores, and I know the stores are missing around 50 items. That's why I reported this problem last year. I didn't know which ones had closed, and I haven't been able to figure out how to find them. What's really sad is that I could get them back up easily because I have all the descriptions and pictures on my computer. I don't need the archived listings, just some way to identify them. Like an accurate Unsold Items report each morning.

With around 1,600 items running with closing dates, this is a daunting inventory control problem if I can't rely on eBid to report the closed ones.

24965319 - Kanoe Vintage Propelling Pencil - I searched for the title of this one before posting it as missing - imagine my surprise when the item sold later yesterday evening. But I searched for it as a live auction before posting it MIA! So, What happened? It was not sold until much later in the day. It seems that there is another problem of listed items not showing up on searches (I searched just for Kanoe).

Search for an item by id by entering the id number into the large search box at the top of the page. If the item isn't found in our current or closed (75 days after closing) database it will tell you it cannot be found but there some text on the page saying "If you wish to search the archives for this auction then please click here". This will search the archives for items that are older than 75 days after closing.

Its showing up in the closed search now so it seems ok currently. If you find another that doesn't show in search results when it should can you let us know and we will look into it straight away.
