Yes those red crosses should go tomorrow!
I don't see that they serve any purpose!
This Post(the OP) is about Showing Bids...aka Bid Column. I sure wish folk here cound control themselves and always!! stay on topic.
Going off topic is plain awful and a Turnoff to folk who want to read and just maybe learn.

As a buyer who is considering upgrading to seller, I would also like to see number of watchers and number of bids. Without these I think there will always be a suspicion that ebid does not want to reveal how little traffic or interest there is on this site
Can't see where showing bids would be a bad thing. Some people apparently feel strongly about this--others not so much. Maybe make it optional "Show/Hide Bids" ???
I think people will have to trust the site first, but I am talking as an ordinary person who has only bought and sold on ebay and amazon. I didn't know what PSU or Alexa was until you mentioned them, so I looked them up, if PSU is Power Sellers Unite then ebid seems to have dropped a little and ebay gained a little (I've no idea whether that is significant or not!) and when I looked for Alexa I found what appears to be a script that can lower a site's rating very quickly., if so then is Alexa a trustworthy tool?
But, as I said, I am not a business, i sell second hand goods (my own) and buy whatever my mania tells me to at the time! If I am bidding on something or considering a bid then the number of watchers will sometimes encourage me to make a last minute bid if it's something I want and I think I may lose it (depending on price).
As a seller, the number of bids on similar items gives me some idea of whether or not I am about to pitch my price too high and watchers give an idea of the level of interest in a particular item.
I can make comparisons with other sellers and try to work out why some seem to attract more interest than others (price, layout, photos, description, postal charge etc).
My perspective is that of a small seller running auctions so I am ignorant of tools and techniques and was rather hoping that I could get by without them.
As a seller I am attracted by ebid's fees but put off a little because it seems there is no way to measure interest from buyers.
Sorry about the lengthy reply, I was in a chatty mood, going for a lie down now!
