Please help a newbie to list books!

I know there are book sellers on this thread so I hope someone can help a newbie.

I want to start by listing books but I am having trouble starting. In the barcode box I put the ISBN number and I was hoping that time specifics would come up and a stock photo but nothing seems to happen. I choose a book in the ebid system so I know its there ... I also tried putting the barcode in but still nothing.

Am I being really dense?

When I list on Amazon I just put the isbn in the search box, up comes the book and its item specific and I just click on the "sell yours" box and I just fill in the rest and thats it .... Same with greenmetropolis

What am I dont wrong. I've tried a few books now, all the same. I've tried both isbn and barocdes
