Using the text of the law note the "AND which is made or adapted for causing injury to the person" which excludes most knives as they aren't 'made for causing injury to persons'

The section you quote applies to 'any other article'. Knives have previously been specifically prohibited - regardless of their design/adapted usage.

Of course, the law is a pointless (sorry) law that does nothing to address the problem is purports to address. It is simply a 'be seen to be doing something while actually doing nothing' law.

Knives are a sore subject, we'd love to be able to offer them for sale but after years of allowing this, the policing of them and arguments of specifics about types of knives, laws of different countries etc made it an easy decision to ban them from eBid. Apologies go to the knife collectors out there but eBid is and will remain knife free.
