It looks Whitefriar..ish Kedo but I'm afraid I don't know much about glass. Might be an idea to send ejean a PM she might have more of an idea.

I think it would make a great candy dish.

Yes, Whitefriars is the name that came into my head. It looks very retro 60's with the bark pattern, colour etc. I think the style was copied a lot though wasn't it?

It's always a pain trying to list stuff on 'BuyNow' when you don't have any idea of the value.

Here you go Kedo just found this on a site about Whitefriars so you can compare.

Above a Whitefriars textured bowl for comparison purposes. Whitefriars bowl Pat. 9687 c. 1972 Aubergine

Oh yes, that's exactly it. I had a quick search on that pat. number. Aubergene and green versions seem to be on offer for circa £40. I wonder if a tangerine coloured version is less, more or the same?

Most impressed, I'll have to post some more pictures of mystery objects. Things tend to accumulate in cupboards etc. if I don't know what they are.

I'd say Whitefriars, early 70's. Though, i'd be inclined to list as 'in the style of' unless you have a definitive mark. Another option is to go the Whitefriars site and post the image. I believe they will help to confirm its authenticity. The orange and red shades tend to be fairly common in the sense that you'll often seem them at bootfairs etc.

I have seen those sell for £20-£50 depending on location and interest. Being an online auction i'd say go for £40 as you can always lower if not sold.

    Regards
    Matt
Just realised i needed to mod my old signature. No set categories yet, but i'll work on that now i am back and update as able
