Absolutely not, and I was worried that was the tone the thread took right from early on. You're doing something extremely right, for the good of the site and to your own benefit. eBid recognises that, it's a shame not all eBidders do. Which isn't to say I wouldn't like to steal some of your thunder if I had the time to do my homework!!

No, I don't think anyone thinks that! It's just that there's at least two methods of bringing people into the site. You can do it your way or you can do it by adding interesting stuff to the site which people want and which generates traffic. I normally get a buddy point when someone signs up to actually buy specifically my item. Occasionally I take a hit and sell something for less than I could have got elsewhere (believe me I try to minimise that). I've always found the buddy points scheme an adequate compensation as well as an encouragement to carry on listing on eBid. The problem is really that the excellent results that your efforts are getting are reducing the value of everyone else’s.

When i get some free time I will be developing some more applications and will be happy to help promote my eBider friends live auctions

My current applications are getting on average over 10,000 unique users per day so should be worth it.

I'm also in talks with Squidoo about including a eBid module.

Yeah thats fine with me , it was just an bit of an experiment, i got the idea from Squidoo to help new users make the most of there profile.
