Make Buddy points Fairer

I wondered if the Buddy Point system couldn’t do with a review. Personally I’d like to see it give more credit for buying and selling and less for signing up new members. Trading is the main aim of the site yet the system allows people to sign up their friends in bulk and thereby gain a seemingly unfair advantage in the Buddy Point auctions. What do you think?

eBid offer buddy points as an incentive, they don't have to do this, plus they charge extremely fair low or zero seller fees.

I don't see this offer on any other auction site.

I have no complaints at all and appreciate what I am offered.

Yes I hope more people join up in bulk.

(I hardly think that anyone is going to go to extreme lengths just to get more buddy points)

(and there are rules in place to protect against abuse)

And as Jeweleffects says it is really just an extra bonus

Buddy points for signing up new members brings more sellers and buyers to eBid, it also makes eBid more money.

I would have to stop promoting eBid on my sites if the buddy points were less.

I just wish we could get some points or partial points for the sales we make. It seems as if about half of my customers see no need to leave feedback.

I like the Buddy points and I don't really have any complaints but I would like to see it changed to where we would automatically get the points on a sale if the buyer doesn't leave feedback. It seems if negative feedback is not left we should get the points instead of 'IF' we are left positive feedback as so many buyers are not even interested in feedback for any reason as they are on interested in getting their purchase.
