Please can we have a sales counter ?

Gazza please can we have an actual 'sales' counter, alongside the feedback counter, next to our user names, that shows how many sales we have made since joining eBid as so few people seem to leave feedback nowadays. Great idea, but could it be done to show sales to date at the start ? I expect not.

I don't see why not, they must have had some sort of statistics from the beginning to show the growth of the site.
I've just looked at a seller on the 'craft' site who started in 2008 and has had 19195 sales and I don't think their sales counter is that old. I think it only appeared in 2017 but I might be wrong.

I think that's a great idea for everyone even though I seem to get a high percentage of feedback left by people who buy from me.

I would have thought that the least eBid could manage is sales in the last year even they may not have detailed records back to the very beginning.

As I said in the thread you mention in the OP I'm sure they didn't have a counter when I first looked at the site. As I only went online in 2012 I would guess that I didn't find the craft site until 2013 at the earliest.

I only started buying from that in late '16 - '17 and the counter had a lot to do with that decision.

The fact is that the glass I collect has gone from a couple of pages of listings to thousands in that time-frame on that site, some at least transferring from TOS including several of what I would call their better sellers in the category.

In the same period not one single serious seller in the category has joined ebid. There was one seller who listed a hundred or more items in a week but then deleted them all again the week after. The category still has only around 150 listings, compared to 120 when I joined. If you take off my listings there would only be about 30.
