eBid has a strong, thriving charitable sector, but the categories don't really reflect this. I think eBid could build on its charitable nature much more (great PR!) - one simple idea is to allow sellers to include a charity category as second cat' without charging the second cat' fee.
At the moment many charity sellers are ignoring the charity cats because they don't have enough in them to attract buyers, so items are listed in the most suitable "normal" category instead.
By offering charity cats for free when used as a secondary cat you would encourage population of those cats, showing eBid's healthy charity community much more accurately. Those items which are currently in there could be spread to normal cats - including all the YDC items - with the charity cat being made secondary, which would be good for general figures and make the already successful YDC even more attractive. And "additional charity categories free" would be a USP (unique selling point) for eBid to market on.
So, pretty please, if secondary category is in the charity section: no fees? Ta muchly!
