Waaaaa! Don't make me reply again, I'm going cross eyed.

    *ahem*

I have a suspicion that it might be the "Quick Reply" that causes the problem.
Prior to today, I replied to a thread using quick reply and noticed that the width
had gone awry on the reply screen.

Today I replied to a thread - it defaulted to "Quick Reply" and I noticed the same
issue and switched to "Go Advanced" and the problem disappeared, but once I'd
submitted my reply the width was all over the place again.

Still accessing via Firefox since IE8 still has wide width.

Running on XP. IE7 is stuffed. Firefox is fine.

Now noticed that the problem only occurs when I'm logged in to the forums, it's fine if I'm just a guest. Seems to be this
"Quick Reply" box at the bottom. Which makes my previous "it only happens when I reply" theory wrong (on a technicality)
as I usually only log in when replying.

Oh well - there goes that 'theory' then....

For me it's the opposite. 'Go Advanced' produces the width problem. (Having said that, it's only an issue for me on ONE of the forum threads). So really I don't have this problem overall.
I was just trying to help out, and I was just asking you to see if there was a consistant 'pattern' to this. But no, the 'pattern' isn't consistant.

(I'm not a real 'techy' sort, but I sometimes manage to solve things by careful 'observation').
Sorry that I can't help more here.

IE7 and 8 should be ok with the width thing now.
