Default Trying to find a pot plant...

Many years ago I bought my late mother a pot plant one Mother's Day.

It had sort of cushioned petals that were yellow with black spots. I think you could also get them with red petals with black spots.

I have never seen one since and all my Googling efforts have come to nought. Has anyone any suggestions on what the plant might have been? I appreciate I have not given a lot to go on but someone might recognise it from what I have.

    TIA

That looks like it could be it - though not as heavily spotted as I remember it. I will have to look in the garden centre next time I am there.

    Thanks for the response.

Lots of lilies fit that....along the lines of tiger lily....tho I know there are yellow ones, and red ones, too. Also, a smaller version, with amazing spots, is Toad Lily.

You might consider changing your title or your American side will begin to wonder about you. I thought you were looking for a canibus plant and it just could not fit it to the OP. LOL

LOL! Actually we found some growing in the woods last year, won't say what happened to them, but they definitely weren't planted...

Bows and doesn't trip, too early for drinkies.

Thanks, HM, took that photo meself - it appears I'm slightly better with larger items (like landscapes) than smaller ones (like jools).

Bows and exits with coffee firmly in hand...

Best wishes for many sales to all,
