Came across a couple of interesting Esperanto postcards from 1929.

One postcard has a lake view from the Tatra Mountain and the other is a painting. Both post cards are addressed to D F Wilkinson, Huby, Leeds.

Having been knocked off the first page of the stamp stores I have renewed my efforts in listing of more of my material.

Listing and describing items makes you really appreciate the item as being well worth collecting.

I have put the following items in my MG Serendipity Shop because although the items depict birds on stamps they are really year calendars.

If you collect bird items, I have bird stamps in the Thematic section, and bird cards in my MG by Moonlight Postcard Shop and now bird calendars in MG Serendipity Shop.

There a quite a number of newly listed aerogrammes and covers that depict birds - you might want to have a quick look to see if any of those would enhance your collection.

I've been busy listing mint and used West Berlin stamps.

If you have gaps in your collection, please take a look to see whether you can fill the gaps.....

West Berlin is a good country to collect as you can complete it - starts 1948 and finishes 1990. I haven't finished listing, so keep looking for new additions.

I thought it was time to add to my "MG Serendipity Shop" as I have found some cigarette stamps in my boxes of stamps.

I have discarded any worn cards and only listed cards in very good condition for their age.

If you are interested in gardening or flowers they are sure to be of interest.

I think I caught football fever by listing a whole load of football covers, including signed covers by Jack Charlton and Steve Heighway.

These covers are ideal for football fans who like their teams and for stamp collectors who like special cancellations.

The football cancellations seen on these specially produced covers are much rarer than the ones produced by Royal Mail on first day covers. In fact now that I have caught football fever from eBid, I don't think I want to part with them after all as they are a great collection to have gathered together! I have a great number of these to list over the coming weeks.

The great thing about being a stamp and cover collector is that you can always go off at a tangent.

The cancellations on these covers come from Post Office Philatelic Counters which had their heyday in the late 1980s and 1990s. Many of these philatelic post office counters have been closed down, including the two above, and the cancellations have become very collectable.

I am taking a break from listing football covers and am now listing un-mounted mint stamps from Jersey.
Please take a look and see if I have any stamps which would fill in the gaps in your collection.

Hey ebud, Maybe you would be one to ask. As well as anyone who wants to jump in. We have 3 postal commemorative stamps. 22k gold. Comes with cert and info etc. Any ideas on what to do with them. I say keep the gold stamps with our change $ emergency jar and toss the rest. Hub says keep in and don't wreck them. Is the gold worth anything? Would have to peel them off to weigh. Thank You if any info. Happy Holidays and Selling

These lovely Jersey miniature sheets are newly listed.

Miniature sheets are also known as souvenir sheets and have one or more postage stamps on the sheet.
The ones shown below each have a £1 stamp on them.

Jersey has produced Chinese New Miniature sheets for several years starting with the 1996 Year of the Rat

A plain cover with a couple of cancels seems pretty boring to a none stamp collector...but it has a story once you start researching.

    http://uk.ebid.net/for-sale/canada-1...-125219393.htm

This cover is from the early days of internal air mail in Canada and is from a tiny place to another tiny place in Alberta.
The letter seems to have missed the intended flight in December 1930 but caught the January 31 1931 flight. Was the weather bad to have missed the first flight? Did the flights only happen once a month? The first flight was scheduled for December 1930. Who was W R Patton?
Lots of research to be done for the aerophilatelist...and a great cover to have in your collection.
