I am on Ebid for a little money. Not a serious income as I don't need any stress, but enough to buy a few treats.

Looking back at all I sold on Amazon, Ebay and Ebid over the years, I reckon I made in the region of £15,000, mainly from second hand books.

If I'm brutally honest it's just to drive more customers to my own web site and store.
For the stuff I sell Ebid just doesn't have the potential of providing that many sales let alone a living..

iI wouldn't say complete dorks but I am with you on the say goodbye to Ebay part. The complete Dorks you speak of at least what I gather from reading the Forums are just the folks who have come over from other sites and expect close to identical sales/exposure. This my friends is not the case as of yet but as Dodaman has stated...it will happen!

Don't be so glum. Yes all of us who have come from other places expected more from listing on ebid (notice I didn't state expecting more from ebid). Ebid has offered us an inexpensive alternative to where we came from. Daily there are newbies coming over. The more who come over, the more variety we will have and the more people will be looking to buy here. In the meentime we need to find our own buyers and promote our own goods.
As it stands now I list on 2 sites, the high fee site I list my items higher to cover all the fees. I have let my previous customers know I list here as well and spread the word wherever and however I can about ebid. Unfortunately for ebid (doesn't bother me too much as I cover the ridiculous fees in the cost of the item) is they are losing the sales.
Lots of folks sell here and are very happy with their sales and this is what an auction site should be. A place to sell a little or a lot or somewhere in between.
Never give up on an auction site everyone of them is different and unique. Ebid is UK based so it's going to take a while for the ebay type of population to get here. Yes all our suggestions of advertising etc will help but that is not how ebid is going to flourish. Just make sure to keep promoting ebid, sell on multiple sites to stay alive but always make sure you don't lose exposure with ebid...it's coming. Hopefully not too many think I'm wrong with my thinking but as always, comments are welcome.

Sorry folks worded this wrong has nothing to do with being a UK based site. Should be "fairly newer site with limited exposure" and is going to take a while to gain population. Soray!

I don't know how many US members we have versus UK ones.
But the number of listings are about the same.
In theory the number of listing in the USA could be 4 or 5 times bigger in the long term.
But of course there are many more alt site sin the USA.

    What's your goal on ebid?

Don't turn this into a discussion thread with any praise, insults grudges etc. Just what you want from your particular sales.
Checking to see if anything has changed the past couple years.
