    Great news
We are third on the list !
As others have said we now need to try to get to 4 million listings.

    @Magnets and Hangers

What appearing third on the list will do, is raise our profile in the USA.
Ebid hardly rates a mention on many selling forums. Its always the other sites that get mentioned.
Now that we are third on the list and ahead of the ranch (which is the current darling) that will make many more disgruntled ebay sellers look at joining ebid.

And more sellers = more listings and more sales for us all. (in theory)
(Just look at the betsy's sales)

Now that PSU are finally showing ebid in its true place (third)

Now might be a good time for members here to bombard them and ask for our own ebid sub-forum.

Just about every tin pot site has a sub forum except ebid.
I see a few of us posting on PSU.
But our own sub forum would also help raise ebid's profile.

The amount of listings holds no interest to me.

    B & M shops target buyers.
They cater for buyers in every possible way.

Ebid, after 10 years or whatever, should now be targetting buyers somehow - yet the first thing I see is ''list for free - no more auction fees for life'' - that is 100% aimed at sellers.
Time to find some incentive for buyers.

Earlier in this thread someone mentioned that the Bay looks after its buyers.........that is the way it should be in my opinion.

After all - without buyers - NO auction site or ecommerce site will succeed - regardless if it has 1 mill or 50 million listings.

I agree 100% with the sentiment . . BUT ... Not at the expense of fair play and a level playing field.

I believe the set up at ebay at the moment is an open invitation for scammers and fraudsters to have a field day.
Ebay are assisting this with their ridiculous DSR and feedback systems.

But I think this is a deliberate tactic in their stratagy to get rid of the small fry.

As you say customer is king (Just as long as he has a lot of dosh to spend)

Small sellers are out. It's about time people realized that and moved on.

    It's pointless whinging!
The ball belongs to ebay and it's in their court.

<I think they are playing a rubbish game though and need to sack the coach!>

To be honest - I prefer their fb system now and would like to see similar here.

    WTG eBid!

BTW: I couldn't agree more re: the fraudsters on Feepay, it's the reason I left back in 2000 and from what I've heard and read on here, it's only gotten worse since then.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

It will not happen, just look at the post they move all the ebid posts to.

    First posting:

Poll :: Has eBid been a total was of time for you in the USA?
    Yes 0% [ 0 ]
    No 0% [ 0 ]
What? You mean eBid is designed to SELL things?! I had no Idea! 0% [ 0 ]

The second posting is the common send them to the wrong site posting that you see where ever you see ebid mentioned on any forum:

I was looking at ebid.com and was wondering if anyone is using the site and if so, how are you doing there?

People have been asking for it to have its own sub forum for a long time, but they have come up with every excuse in the book, for some reason they do not like ebid. One person said it is due to it not being a US site, others have come up with other reasons. Personally I have no idea I just know their actions are possibly damaging to ebid.

I would also say watch when you post on there, as it is full of the professional marketing destroyers, that will purposefully use the right words to bring the quotes you do not want popping up on search engines when people are searching for ebid. If you go through the ebid post, you will see their posts popping up every time one of us posts anything good about ebid.

The opposite also applies that a site without product is nothing but a place to show google adds, I think they are called parking sites.

It is common sense that they need to keep bringing in the sellers, as the biggest complaint outside of this forum is that buyers do not find what they want.

You are forgetting that ebad grew with the buyer beware auction system and buyers still flocked in to buy, as it was known as the one stop shop, where you could buy or sell anything.
Buyers are always important to us but drawing in more sellers and product to draw buyers in and keep them coming back should be ebids priority at the moment.

If powersellers unite are going to have eBid in their auction site list it is far better that the numbers are right and updating rather than out of date and stuck - IMHO. So this is good news.

    I agree !

The last time we overtook the 'crater' on the list, and were in second place, that was with all the eBid listings combined. Now we are catching them up again with just the USA eBid listings so it just goes to show how quickly eBid is growing.
