I've only just realised s/he (I think he, but you've made me wonder!)has asked for ideas. How about a bunch of auctions with a red, nose, or red nose theme? Red's easy - nose could be anything that smells nice, or something like sun-glasses that rest on your nose, and red nose itself could be anything clown-related, or specially red-nosed items from the arty-crafty types. Just an idea to kick things off!
A quick look at my all about might give a hint.
I think I'll leave the organising to the more experienced fund raisers....bluebedouin...may want to do it!

I think Kim's logo alteration is the better of the two so perhaps the first thing is to contact support & get them onside.It would be marvellous if they could change it site-wide for that day or even the week.

Just a thought and to widen the spectrum anything comedy related. It is comic relief after all
So - I wrote to Mark and Gazza asking them if they would like to be involved with a Red Nose Day promotion/event - asking what they would like to see happen and whether they would want to appear on TV with a cheque if it could be arranged.
They have replied saying that they would like more information about our ideas. Bykimbo has also written to them suggesting that they may like to use her logo design during a campaign.
Perhaps they would like to see a bit more commitment and enthusiasm from us before committing themselves? The reception for the Red Nose Day idea has sadly been rather lukewarm and is depending on those who already give their time and energy so generously for the YDC.
I have also searched the Red Nose site and found that there will only be five cheques presented on air this year and those are being presented by the main partner sponsors. The TV show is fully booked with no further tickets available. So it looks like we have missed the boat as far as getting our eBid t shirts on display and free advertising.
I am a bit concerned that time is getting on and we may not have enough time left for a big push? What do you all think?

I am still happy to go with it - the charity will still benefit. I reckon we can still promote on Facebook, Twitter and anywhere else that comes to mind. and that will still advertise Ebid
