i have a question about region 2 dvds can they be played in New zealand

Only if you have Multiregion DVD Player...otherwise no...
By the way if you like I can try to help you I can transfer your regular DVD Player in Multiregion DVD Player and after that you can watch any DVD disc from anywhere in the world in your personal DVD Player including your home DVD disc too...but all depends which MAKE i mean MODEL is your DVD Player...maybe I make it maybe not but you have nothing to lose...and in the end if you have already Multiregion DVD Player you no need nothing to change...

And by the way If you selling DVDs Region 2 in New Zealand and if person don't have Multiregion DVD Player that person can't watch DVD disc Region 2...

Not always because New Release DVDs region 0 is fake DVDs and is not original or official release…And every Continent region is protected with region code for that region and for Asian market original official New Release and TV Sets is always region 3 or Region 6 without any English Subtitle only in Asian language and Asian subtitles and in that way too Hollywood protect own product from reselling this stuff in West, so no reason at all for Hollywood to sell DVDs which can anybody buy in regular official store in Asia for $1.00 and resell this on the West market and beat competition in the West market not make sense at all, but because Asian market don’t have copyright laws many Illegal Factories copy and fake like this DVDs transfer in English transfer on Region 0 or ALL or Free region and sell all around world and in my opinion like this DVDs is fake a 100% and anybody can see some feedback from some Sellers where Buyers buy like this stuff and the buyer complain some disc can’t play even if is Region 0, and all this is only for New Release Hollywood DVDs and TV Series…Region 0 only original is release like this is very old titles and Documentaries stuff but not even one New Release DVDs…in the end a sample if anybody buy any DVD New Release or TV Series in official regular stores in USA is always Region 1 (US,CA) with English and English, French and Spanish subtitles no Asian stuff at all…
