    Default Google your Ebid store

I googled my ebid store name billsbooks, and it came up ranked 8th.

    That is not bad.

I wonder if there is a way to make ebid store names rank higher?

The description meta tag, which will influence the google search and ranking, is built from your own store description. So get that right to improve your visibility.

Haven't a clue about meta tags - so, if anyone has time - plus a knowledge of numpty language.....
In spite of that, my store has ninth position so I am well chuffed at that.

However, it is showing out of date info: I deleted reference to slimming books when I deleted my Slimmers World store. How can I rectify that, please?

You don't really need to have even half a clue. As I say, just get your description right and the tags will look after themselves. What that means... why worry?

The simplest answer is to wait for Google's web crawlers to catch up with you. But if you wanted to you could try submitting the store page to Google manually. I haven't tried submitting a store url, so no idea what the results will be.

I went into my stores to update my descriptions and keep getting an alert message >> eBid Store titles cannot be all uppercase. I find that a bit weird because I never CHANGED the store names in any way. They've been in uppercase from the get-go. Anybody help? Should say that I altered the descriptors in my other two stores - which BOTH have store names in u/c - and never got above message!

Maybe a new test put in place since you made the stores originally. But that wouldn't explain two working and one not, if that all happened on the same day. er... I suppose the one going wrong isn't the longest, is it? Dunno why, just a thought.

Love your new avatar Bill - makes me wonder what you are looking at!

Fifth and my own website is first - so I'm happy!! Now all I need are those elusive uploads to Google Shopping......
