Although astrakhan is classed as fur and it's lambskin. Very confusing.

That's not much help. As I see it there's two ways you can go: either push for a definitive answer or assume they're saying "here's the list, it's up to you" and form your own judgement. They've effectively passed the buck. You can pass it back, or take that challenge!

personally I have no issue with wearing vintage fur items (it happens with doing historical theatre a lot!) though I wouldnt buy or want to wear new real fur items.
