If we are that confused Babs just think of the poor newbies that might be trying to purchase a second time on the same Dutch auction !

That was my thoughts on it too - not just new buyers, but new sellers too. My seller was reasonably new - she'd had a few sales and had gained a bit of experience before hand, but neither of us were prepared for the Dutch Auction saga - that caught us both unawares.

Bumping this up as I have just had the same problem as everyone else on this thread (can't leave feedback). I also had problems paying for the item, again I though it was me, and I went direct to the Paypal website and made payment that way. The seller that I purchased from, like myself, is also fairly new to eBid and feedback helps to recognise good sellers.

    Comments on this ?

Dutch Auctions... that is...auctions with Bidding that have 2 or more available.

Auctions that have Bidding(and 2 or more offered) but also start with a Buy Now... are not Dutch Auctions till a bid is placed.

Confusing yes.. and they are really a waste of time and patience. feebay did away with them 17 Months ago... why?? members complaining that they are confusing.
I(myself) have found them VERY confusing in very active auctions as to price and winning bid.

The auctions I'm refering to are not bidding ones they are 'buy it now' ones that have multiple items available. They are called 'Dutch auctions' here on eBid for some strange reason even though they are not !!!

Hmmmmm... Auctions with quantities offered at a set price are NOT Dutch Auctions, never was. Anyways they are bad and badly named.

I think this needs to be bumped and hopefully acted on by those darling gurus in Ebid Tech and Mgt.

Do you know - I didn't realise that you couldn't leave such feedback. I learn something every day! Seems very odd....
