This stuff is totally above my head. I really, really want to do it though.

I tried to get on facebook and messed it up completely. Now I have to wait 14 days til they cancel that account so I can use the same email address. Once I'm on I will be totally clueless where to go from there. But, it will be a start.

Sometimes you just have to jump in, make your boo boo's and carry on. So, if you hear that Facebook or Twitter blew up or crashed-don't worry, it's only me trying to work it!

You can follow anybody. If anybody wants privacy, they can set their account so that you have to ask permission - but it's unlikely that anybody hoping to promote that way will choose "protected tweets".

I'm also a ebay convert, I've been listing on ebid and also listing my items on craigslist at the same time. If you want to promote Ebid try this. Offer a discount to anyone who bids on your item at ebid.net through your craigslist listing , If a craigslist buyer see's this they sign up for ebid.net to make the purchase and this will benefit ebid.net in the long run. make sure you put a link to the auction in your craigslist post

Being fed up with eBay, I've recently added all my listings to eBid, hopefully I've also set up a Twitter account!!

We've also just started adding listings to eBid although we joined a few years ago. Always thought the bay would get better, but after being there 5 years I guess we were wrong!! So here we are :-)
