Since you're perfectly intelligent and it's not that complicated, I'd guess that's because you're not really interested. I always find things that bore me harder to understand!

One of the people I follow on Twitter is a young TV Presenter/writer. I have no idea why or how I started following her but I do know why I continue.

Her tweets are normally stupid, ridiculous, sometimes rude, occasionally crude but they nearly always makes me smile. Very rarely are they straight forward advertising but her followers always know when she or her friends are on TV or have had an article published.

Recently she tweeted jokes and comments all day about her boyfriends latest film being released without once mentioning the name of the film. I, and no doubt a lot of others, Googled the film and finished up by reading the reviews of the film. If she had just tweeted adverts about the film I would have ignored them. Since then I have watched a couple of times when the films adverts have appeared on TV whereas before I wouldn't even have noticed the TV trailers.

    Done properly Twitter does work.

Just discovered that one thread I started on the FB group got nasty over night and that's why it was chopped then moved off the wall. Some people take any alternative view of how things should be as a personal attack, unfortunately.

Great post, thanks Tony. Would you mind if I copied that to the FB group anonymously (if you prefer) since I think you're not a member?

Of course you can. You can also use my name, especially as that may upset those that, some time ago, refused my application to join the group.

In addition to my original info, which some might find useful, there's been some good stuff posted here by other ebidders, so... BUMP!
