Question Adding categories to open an Ebid Store

Can someone advise please...I've managed to add Section 1 and 2, but when I try to add a category there is no drop down list, so when I type in something, it adds it but i can't update it...so I am having trouble turning status from offline to online. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong please.....I've contacted the helpdesk but it keeps diverting my to the Q&A's which isn't solving the problem. Thanks for any advise given.

You have to add your own categories in section three and press the big purple button to add them when you've done naming them. There's a video of how to open your shop called "How to make your eBid shop" (weirdly enough! *grin*) on the Help > Sell HTVs page that might help.

Thanks - and i did check the video (smile!) and what it shows does not appear on my screen when I add...so will have to wait for Help team to investigate and resolve.

    @Chart The Stars

Yes, I just opened my shop (after selling on here for 6 months !)

The categories thing is a bit confusing, until you have done it then it all falls into place.

    Bykimbo's videos are great.

As she said the categories are ones that you create that suit your items.

    They could be
    new
    used
    or like mine
    standard
    special
    bulk buys

The key is to type your category description into the field and then hit the plus key, then type the next one and hit the plus key then hit the button next to that (I have forgtten what its called.)

    This should help a bit

Or go into someone else's shop (prefferably mine) and look at their categories which show on the left hand side in a box.

It took me 4 attempts to figure the categories out but once you have done it the first time it is easy.

As Juliebabe25 says Bykimbo's videos are great.
