Default Have we got any real variety and choice in Non Fiction listings?

I just checked out 32 non fiction books that I am going to list in my store.

Out of 32 books only four already appear in listings and out of the four three are different formats to mine and only appear once.
The last listing only appears three times.

THAT MEANS I'LL HAVE AT LEAST 28 UNIQUE LISTINGS!

I think we booksellers really need to get some interesting books listed - I wonder just how many people have popped in to ebid for a browse only to be disappointed at the lack of choice and not being able to find something even coming close to what they are looking for.

It's opened my eyes I can tell you - I'm gonna cull all the 'Dead wood' from the River' and list it here along with all the books I had'nt got ropund to listing yet!

Anyone else up for a listing spurt?

I'm sure the book buying and selling community will be galvanised by the news that you're moving your non-selling "dead wood" from somewhere else. *grin* I think filling up the book shelves here is an excellent idea - you might want to work on your marketing spiel though. ;o)

I did, and I've just looked again, and I've no idea what you're talking about, sorry. I was just teasing you about describing your upcoming new stock as "dead wood". What have I missed?

    Oh That's easy!
Some books are slow on the river (Unfair compitition from 1p book dealers ) - run of the mill books - Dead over there but unique here!

    All good stuff!

I think there are some great books on here and whilst I have only purchased three so far, two for my granddaughter and one nostalgic cookery pamphlet, I'll definitely be back for more.

Unusual books do get attention and sell fast there too. Just sold two oversized books, one of Harleys and other on Elvis Presley's Graceland. Only had them on about a week. Smaller advertising booklets sell really well too.

Hey, I have some books listed that I couldn't find ANYWHERE on the web, not even Amazon. There are people out there who don't know they want them until they find them. Just like browsing one of those dusty used bookstores, looking for interesting books I'd never heard of.
Come to think of it, that may be where some of mine came from.

    Keep listing.

I recently cleared a load of books from a bankrupt shop. My main store now carries loads of categories from architecture to arts, crime fiction to photography.
I think I have a large spread of interesting books!
