Thread: Help wanted.....

  1. #1

    Default Help wanted.....

I have found some pottery pieces painted with very bright colors and what I thought was a Spanish or Mexican theme. One platter is signed - "Sergio Nieasio F." Does anyone here know anything about these? I goggled the name and got nothing, but based on what I got I am now wondering if he is an Italian artist.

Not my area, but do you have a few photos? Someone may recognize it.

I'm wondering if it should be Sergio Nicasio F and not Sergio Nieasio F

OK, I got some pictures today - see what you think. It still looks like an E to me, but could be a C.

I'm guessing the name is a Spanish street address and the signature below it is the actual artist?

Cowgirl, that is really unusual, and not what I expected. Tell us more about the little guys with hats. Do look like sombreros BUT what are those things like look like American Indian teepees? Or are those buildings? Love those palm trees with the points. What the heck are they doing, dancing, holding a ceremony?

The hats and those things make it look Mexican or South American to me too, but not quite what we typically see as Mexican pottery.

As the rest of the lettering is upper case,it's highly unlikely to be an e.
BTW that is one ugly dish!

Gee, Thanks! LOL! Not to my taste either. They are 4 pieces, the plate is the only one that is signed. There are 2 smaller plates with slightly different design and a vase. It looks to me like perhaps it is some sort of fiesta and my first instinct was Mexican. They are all red clay pottery with this majolica-like finish.
