    YDC 81 Announcement

    (Your Donation Counts)

    Charity Auctions

    24th – 28th September 2010

    YDC charity auctions are held by the international eBid membership every month.
    Our main aim is to raise as much money as we can, and have lots of fun along the way!
    At the same time, we have a “friendly” competition to see which single auction raises the highest amount. The winning seller in this competition chooses which good cause to nominate for the following month’s competition.

    As the winner of YDC80, Keepsakesbydesign has chosen:

    Doctors Without Borders

    as this month’s nominated charity.

    Please come and join us with YDC81, everyone is welcome and -
    YOUR DONATION COUNTS!

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If you would like to take part in the “competition” element of YDC81,
    Please adhere to the following guidelines:
    1) All auctions should have a start price of 99p (UK) or less.
    For other currencies, please find an easy conversion chart here: http://www.xe.com/
    2) No item listed should have an expected value of more than £20.00 (or local equivalent)
    3) Your auction should not have a reserve price or Buy Now, and it should be a standard auction (ie: not “featured”, or have any extra enhancements)
    4) Your auction should run for exactly 4 days.
    5) Please list your item/s to start at any time on the 24th of September (in your country), and finish at the same time on the 28th. (Different time zones will be taken into account when establishing the “winner”).
    6) Please put YDC 81 in the auction title.
    7) Your auction/s must be hosted on eBid.net, and must NOT break eBid’s listing rules.
    8) Your auction/s MUST be for a charity (or good cause) and you will need to add the following to your description:
    This auction is an entry in the YDC81 charity auction competition. All money raised by this auction, will go to: Add the name of the charity/good cause here
    9) You should not mislead bidders/ buyers. Please be truthful.
    10) Please keep all shipping / postage charges at cost price.
    11) PLEASE LIST YOUR AUCTIONS IN THE CHARITY AUCTION SECTION UNDER “YDC”
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Also:

    You may list AS MANY items as you wish.

    You do not have to support the nominated charity, it can be any good cause of your choosing.

    Please try to offer your auction/s to as many international destinations as you can.

    Any questions? Please just ask.

    And finally, a big thank you to Gothicina for our YDC logos

    Hi all, recieved this email from Doctors without Borders.
    Dear Dorothy,
    Thank you very much for choosing Doctors Without Borders for your charity on your website. Your dedication to our work will help our volunteers provide emergency medical care to populations in distress irrespective of race, religion, or political affiliation. Thank you for getting involved, and for your support!

    When the event is over, if you could send all donations to our address here in New York would be very helpful. Please put the envelope to the attention of my name, Charlie Kunzer and include a note indicating that it was in response to your fundraiser. The address is:

    Doctors Without Borders
    Attn Charlie Kunzer
    333 Seventh Avenue, 2nd Floor
    New York, NY 10001-5004

    As you may know, MSF is an international independent medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural and man-made disasters, and exclusion from health care in nearly 70 countries. A private, nonprofit organization, MSF was founded in 1971 as the first non-governmental organization to both provide emergency medical assistance and bear witness publicly to the plight of people it assists. In 1999, MSF was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

    Thank you so much for making us the beneficiary and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

    Kind Regards,
    Charlie
