Thread: Top rating on Google after 3 days on Ebid

  1. #1

Red face Top rating on Google after 3 days on Ebid

I'm brand new to Ebid, uploaded 45 auctions my second day, excellent facilites on Ebid compared to other auction sites. Ebid is so easy to use.

However, this morning, for fun & ego trip, I tried Googling for any of my auctions on Ebid using a couple of words out of my auction descriptions.

I was ABSOLUTELY stunned when I found one of MY auctions right up there on Google's first page of results! It is generally VERY hard to achieve any visibility on Google as a "normal" individual.

    Well done Gary & Mark!

    That's brilliant to know.
I've made two sales in the last 24 hours, both to brand new members. I'm assuming they must have picked up my stuff on Google and came in from there.

The process seems to work well. If you list anything desirable in the collectables line it can sell really quickly. I listed a very rare magazine a couple of days ago (not a cheap item, it was £85). It's sold already. Usual story, new buyer etc.

I guess buyers are changing their habits!

Maybe sellers will follow suit and and stop fixating on views, watchers and bids.

    (or maybe not)

Pat hasn't specified the UK as a shipping destination.
(Europe is ticked.....so i'm a bit perplexed as to why they're not showing on all sites?)
The auctions are all there.....we just can't see them.

I'm also hoping he is aware that Featured listings cost money. About 46 quid racked up there already.
