Default Any Danbury Mint experts? Collectible item valuation.

We at the RNLI in Meva' have, very kindly, been given a couple of Danbury Mint village scenes. These are limited edition items designed by Jane Hart, produced by Danbury Mint for the RNLI. We have "Rescuers Return" and "Flagday". I have them in the shop window at the moment, but can't "sell" them until I have a valuation. Because they're not a stock item, but are used gifts returned to us for fund-raising I'll actually be letting them go for a donation. Any ideas how much I should ask? This is definitely not my area of expertise. *grin*

They are in immaculate condition with all original packaging and certificates of authenticity.

What minimum donation should I be looking for? Thanks folks!

well RESCUERS RETURN is "for sale" on that other site for £58... but what they want and what the get is another matter... but it gives you an idea of a price

    FORGET THE ABOVE

    from the danbury site

    Rescuers Return
Danbury Mint will make a donation of £1.62 from the sale of each sculpture to the RNLI. Registered charity number 209603.

The lifeboatmen return to harbour after another successful rescue! A reminiscent sculpture of times gone by, when horses were used to launch and recover lifeboats. Beautifully sculpted by Jane Hart, and skilfully painted by hand. Every sale supports the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
    Actual size is 6½’’.

    Price: £38.00

Oi! I'm not a complete idiot! (emphasis on complete) *winki* I did look there and also concluded that an item not sold proves nothing. *grin*

Ah, now that is useful, ta. So anything between 1.62 and 38.00 is a) fair and b) an improvement on the first time it sold. *grin*

I could, but I wouldn't be providing the best service to the RNLI if it turned out they were worth a lot more, now would I?

a bird in the hand springs to mind.... better to have £15 in your hand than £50 sitting in the window... you know that new the RESCUERS RETURN is selling for £38.. so how much can you really expect to get for a second hand one how ever good the condition

And it's only fair to let the buyer make their profit when they auction it.
My posts only state my own opinions, unless I've stolen them from someone else
