Thanks everyone for the support for this fundraising event for H4H.
I've just received the following from Mark...and thought I would post it here as well....they could do with a little help...
'Hello all, with just three days to go to the Gym4Heroes event, we are doing one final push to raise the £1000 total. With only £400 to go it's easily reachable.
To put it into perspective, if the person running runs at a average running speed of 6 miles an hour, the total distance covered will be 72 miles, this is the distance from London to Salisbury, or if your in the north, the distance from Newcastle to York. This is over 5 half marathons done in a 12 hour period.
Please dig deep, don't just say well done, put your hand in your pocket and help the guys that are fighting for our nation.
As the Help for Heroes website says time and time again. "It’s about the blokes, our men and women of the Armed Forces. It’s about Derek, a rugby player who has lost both his legs, it’s about Carl whose jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw. It’s about Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on the stretcher so he could say goodbye to his wife. It’s about Ben, it’s about Steven and Andy and Mark, it’s about them all. They are just blokes but they are our blokes; they are our heroes. We want to help our heroes."
