    Default Team YDC

Good evening folks.......hope everyone's on top form!

Firstly i'd like to thank Raindropsies, Babs, Shezz & Yorkie for all their hard work with YDC.
For anyone reading, who is unfamiliar with YDC - it is a monthly charity event, ran by ebid members.

As i'm now "running with the baton" i've been having my very own brainstorm (no sarky comments please lol) and tried to approach the task with an open mind.

Suggestions to change any mechanics of YDC will be noted, but I thought we could start with "propping up" the whole concept of YDC first. So, working on the theory that "many hands make light work".....

TEAM YDC IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS!

I would like to invite a Group "brainstorm" ....& i'll start us off with a few of my own thoughts:

Are you fluent in a foreign language?
Could you translate the YDC announcement post, for the benefit of our international members?

Could you write a short / snappy press release?

When a small local charity is nominated, could you research their nearest newspaper & post a press release in their direction?

Could you promote YDC on your own website?

Could you advertise YDC on your local ad site?

There are probably hundreds and hundreds of ways to support YDC...& get YDC "out there"....but it really will take a team effort.

Please add your thoughts & ideas to the thread.....and if we have any "volunteers" along the way, i'll add you to this first post.
Also, if you already promote YDC....let us know what you do and where you do it!

lol.......I can hear the cogs grinding from here!

    Yvonne x

    Cheers folks....we're up n running!

I promote the YDC on my website but can't show you the link because I have a store on the same site.

I also promote the YDC on Facebook by sharing the links to the auctions.

    SEO = Search Engine Optimisation

remember the messages we swapped on using keywords in your descriptions here?

You can do the same with your site....it will make it easier for people to find your site when people are using a search using keywords.

Can you edit your pages to add keywords as tags to each page?...that would help too

I'm not fluent in French or German but I could translate some of the wording in either language as best I can. The remainder would have to be done via a translator

I usually do some tweets on Twitter at YDC time as do some of the others. I'm hoping to get a links section sorted on my website soon so will do a link as soon as it's in place.

Welcome aboard Vonz & the best to you!

I could help with press releases for smaller nominated charities.
