    Lightbulb Categories for YDC???

I find that when I go to look through the YDC listings, that I have to wade through almost 2 pages of DVDs. As I am not in the least interested in them, it gets a bit boring trying to find what else is there.

Would it be possible to have a few categories on this auction site? I would suggest DVDs, Books, Sweets & Chox, Greetings Cards, Kids stuff, Everything else.

I am sure that the folk who contribute want the items to sell and would be prepared to make that one extra click to list their item in the correct category?

    Anyone else agree?

Not really, there are not that many auctions in the YDC .. it only takes a minute to scan down the page...

I didn't see that many dvds in the recent YDC

IMHO Going overboard with too many Categories spoils this site. Who wants to see a load of categories with just one or no items in them. Look at the Wristwatches (130 different categories) to see how having too many is just plain stupid.
My posts only state my own opinions, unless I've stolen them from someone else

Whilst I understand where the OP is coming from, I think that it's un-practical from an eBid view.

Yes they could give YDC some sub categories, but then would have to do this for the other charity categories, like animals could be split (to be fair) to have cats, dogs, birds, dolphins/sea life, wildlife, endangered etc
